Spring Aviation Event Calendar
The warm-weather flying season is here, and it’s time for a good old-fashioned air show or social fly-in! To help you plan, here’s a national aviation event calendar for the spring. Happy flying!
Thursday, May 5: 61St Annual Business Aviation Safety Summit
Austin, TX
The Business Aviation Safety Summit is a forum for business aviation to meet in a collaborative environment to identify safety concerns, devise approaches to reduce risk and implement initiatives to improve safety. The summit is co-organized by Flight Safety Foundation and the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA).
Saturday, May 14: Jena Airport Open House and Fly-In
Jena, LA
The Jena Airport Open House and Fly-in attracts hundreds of people from the local community and dozens of aircraft in the mid-South. Pilots who fly in receive a free lunch and can participate in our Poker Run and Spot Landing contests for a chance to win a $100 fuel card.
Saturday, May 14: Second Saturday at WAAAM Air and Auto Museum
Hood River, OR
WAAAM Air and Auto Museum opens the doors to run some of its antique airplanes and cars. Visitors watch airplane operations up close and may get to ride in classic cars. Open 9:00am-5:00pm, activities 10:00am-2:00pm, lunch 11:00am-1:00pm.
Saturday, May 21: French Lick Fly-In Pancake Breakfast
French Lick, IN
Free pancake breakfast from 7:00am-11:00am followed by free guided tours of our historic French Lick and West Baden resorts. Transportation from FRH to resort properties and back is free of charge; fuel will also be discounted.
Saturday, May 28: Mark Hardin Memorial Air Race — Sport Air Racing League
Sadler, TX
Cross country air racing for all pilots and all propeller-driven fixed wing aircraft.
Friday, June 3: Skypark Aviation Festival an Expo
Woodscross, UT
Largest annual aviation event in Utah features aircraft manufactures, flight schools, vendors, food and more.
Saturday, June 4: Discover Aviation Days
Anoka County Airport
Blaine, MN
Come out to the Anoka County Airport to enjoy aviation exhibitors and vendors. Stop by the education tent, see flying demonstrations and kid's activities. Numerous aircraft on display, plus a pancake breakfast and lunch both days; dance Saturday night.
Thursday, June 9: NBAA Regional Forum
Van Nuys, CA
The 2016 NBAA Regional Forums bring current and prospective business aircraft owners, operators, manufacturers, customers and other industry personnel together for a one-day event at some of the best airports and FBOs in the nation. Regional forums incorporate exhibits, static displays of aircraft and education sessions into one-day events located across the country to help introduce business aviation to local officials and prospective owners and operators, and to address any current issues in the regions.
Saturday, June 11 and Sunday, June 12: Warbirds Over the West
Salem, OR
Warbird and vintage aircraft fly-in, with a car show, military vehicle display, living historians, food and retail vendors, and more.

Zionsville, IN
Friday offers aviation youth camps, Warbird rides, and evening hops-n-props fundraiser. Saturday: 9-5, Kids Fly Zone, Various Forums/Speakers, Warbird Rides, Warbird Air Review, Honoring Veterans Celebration, Reenactors, Tuskegee Red Tail, A-26, and much more, free.
Saturday, June 18: 27th Annual Father’s Day Fly-In
Carlisle, PA
The 27th Annual Father's Day Fly-In at Shreveport North (62PA) (17-18 June 2016) welcomes any aircraft capable of operating from a well maintained, lighted, 70x2600 foot turf runway. Food, activities, camping and rustic bunk house available
Saturday, June 18: 1940S WW II Era Ball
Boulder, CO
The 8th Annual 1940s WWII Era Ball and destination event will transport two-thousand plus guests back to the 1940's through music, WWII planes, food, drinks, and dancing. The annual sell-out event raises money for the Wounded Warriors Project, the Spirit of Flight Center Colorado.
Sunday, June 19: Annual Father’s Day Fly-In Drive-In Breakfast
Lacon, IL
Our Annual Father’s Day Fly-In Drive-In Breakfast featuring pancakes, waffles, eggs, sausage and drinks. Breakfast served from 7:00am until noon: there will be static displays of aircraft plus airplane and helicopter rides.

Sunday, June 26: Rio Fly-In Breakfast
Rio, WI
Enjoy a breakfast put on by the Rio Aero Club at Gilbert Field (94C), just 20 miles NNE of Madison, WI (MSN). Food will be served from 7:00am until 12:00pm. Eggs, sausage, and pancakes all for $6. Fly High Helicopter Tours will l be providing rides, for a fee.
