Late Summer/Early Fall Northeast Aviation Event Calendar
There’s so much to love about summer flying—the warm weather, the aviation-related events, the fly-ins! Here’s another Northeast aviation event calendar for late summer and early fall, courtesy of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, funplacestofly.com and BAC.
What: Cortland County AirFest 2014
When: Saturday, Jul 19, 2014, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Where: Cortland County Airport, Chase Field (N03), Cortland, NY
Fly-in/drive-in breakfast from 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM. FAA "Wings" seminar at 10:00 AM; Dickey’s BBQ lunch from noon – 4:00 PM; airplane and helicopter rides 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Free breakfast for pilots of unique and vintage aircraft! Contact Corey at 607-662-4505.

What: 4th Annual Fly-In/Drive-In Breakfast
When: Sunday, September 7, 2014, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Where: Finger Lakes Regional Airport (0G7), Seneca Falls, NY
At this event sponsored by the Waterloo Rotary Club and Finger Lakes Area Pilots, enjoy all-you-can-eat eggs, pancakes, sausage, coffee, tea, and milk, plus airplane and helicopter rides at an additional cost. What: Plymouth Air Show
When: Saturday, September 27, 2014 (rain date 28th), 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Where: Plymouth Municipal Airport (PYM), Plymouth, MA
The biennial Plymouth Air Show features the world famous aerobatics pilot, Mike Goulian, plus plane and helicopter rides, "Walk Around" airplane display, flight simulators, games and arts and crafts for kids, radio-controlled aircraft demonstration, a BBQ and free admission! What: "AOPA Homecoming" Fly-In at Frederick Municipal Airport, Maryland
When: Saturday October 4, 2014, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Where: Frederick, Maryland, 21701, Frederick Municipal Airport (FDK)
Enjoy a good old fashioned fly-in pancake breakfast, followed by a town hall discussion with AOPA President Mark Baker. Then, meet with AOPA staff, participate in educational and safety seminars, enjoy aircraft displays and aviation exhibits — and for those who aren’t yet pilots, explore a learn-to-fly area. Admission is free, and lunch is free for all AOPA members.
